The Castle is situeted on the outskirts of Fonyód, which city is one of the most frequented south-costal jetty and holiday resorts of Lake Balaton. Balaton is the second largest alkaline water lake in Europe, attracting thousands of tourists every year. The castle- building is situated in the middle of an original wilderness, which is a natural conservation area, far from the holiday zone , on neibourhood of considerable shooting areas. History: This original house was a summer residence of earl Zichy family, but unfortunately while it had became a state-owned building , its condition was getting worse. The redecoration and small repairs have already finished retaining an atmosphere of the historical background with regard to its external apparence and intimate harmony, and getting back its original beauty. By now the castle is open all year round for its guest and fulfil every requirements on high level. The House On the ground floor can be found a very nice a confortable lounge with roaring log fire in two tile stoves giving off the warmth and tranquillity of this country house. The privat room which is accomodated for 30 persons can provide a fashionable milieu and an ideal scene to organize every kind of further educational training courses, conferences, professional meetings for firms, particular occasions ,official dinners . The overhead projector, the flipchart table, TV- and video sets are provided. The council room is available for each guest without booking rooms.
